Hands-on making sessions using reclaimed wood, simple tools, and time to learn properly.

In the workshop we take inspiration from nature’s design — shape, strength and balance — and explore those ideas through making together.

Everyone can be creative when they’re given the time and encouragement.

We run open sessions which anyone can join as well as group programmes.

Inspired by nature’s design

Nature is full of clever solutions: strong shapes, simple joints, and designs that make the most of what’s available. We use those ideas as inspiration, then translate them into projects that people can make with their own hands, at their own pace.

Everyone can be a designer

I believe everyone can design when they’re given time, space, and a little encouragement. You don’t need experience to start. I’ll show you techniques step-by-step, help you use tools safely, and encourage you to trust your own choices. People usually leave surprised by what they’ve made.

Sustainable by habit

Sustainability is built into how I work day-to-day: reclaimed timber, careful use of materials, and a preference for hand tools and simple methods. We make the most of what’s already here, and we keep waste low by re-using offcuts and repairing tools.
